PXN8 Update… New sample themes.

PXN8 now ships with 2 additional sample themes.
These new themes showcase the PXN8 toolbar. The PXN8 toolbar is an unobtrusive toolbar that appears above the photo you want to edit. At the moment the toolbar doesn’t support all of the functions that some of the other themes support but we are adding more features to the toolbar.

You can see for yourself what the toolbar looks like by clicking on the following links…

The toolbar themes make adding photo-editing to your website easier than ever. Now there is no need to even create a new editing page – just add the toolbar to your existing photo-detail page.
Adding the toolbar is relatively simple.
You must add the following code to the <head> section of your page…

<script type="text/javascript"
        src="../../javascript/pxn8_basic.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript"
        src="../../javascript/pxn8_strings_en.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript"
        src="../../javascript/pxn8_toolbar.js"></script>
<style type="text/css">
@import url(../../styles/pxn8_toolbar.css);
</style>

Then instead of using an <img> tag to display your photo, add the following snippet of code …

<script type="text/javascript">
  PXN8.root = "/pixenate";
  PXN8.dom.addLoadEvent(function(){
    /* replace this URL with that of your own image */
    PXN8.initialize("/pixenate/images/samples/hongkong.jpg");
    });
    PXN8.toolbar.crop_options = ["freehand","4x6","6x8","8x11"];
    PXN8.toolbar.draw(['zoomin', 'zoomout',
                      'rotate', 'crop', 'instantFix', 'fillflash',
                      'undo', 'redo', 'save'
                      ]);
</script>
<div id="pxn8_canvas">
<!-- This is where the image will appear -->
</div>
