(this is part of the tuesday-push, a bi-monthly effort to raise the profiles of Irish web services)
Pix.ie is an excellent photo-sharing service which has already gathered a strong community of users. It’s owned and run by Marcus Macinnes and in the short time it’s been running, has become an essential service for many irish amateur photographers. My only quibble with it is they don’t yet have an API, come on Marcus, you know it makes sense ;-)
We do have an API! The Storehouse project that Damien mentioned is using it.
It’s just not public yet as we made a few… well… let’s face it… mistakes in the data contracts that need fixing before we make it public.
The API is REST based, uses OAuth and will serve XML, JSON and your favourite, JSONP :)
Send me an email if you’d like a few API keys to play with and cheers for the post!
